📖 Sermon Notes: Falling Into the Hands of God
Key Scripture
"And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man." — 1 Chronicles 21:13
Core Message & Reflections
- The Context of David's Mistake: King David faced a desperate situation after conducting a census, which was contrary to God's instruction.
- Choosing God Over Man: When confronted with the consequences, David chose to fall into the hands of the Lord rather than human hands because God's mercies are very great.
- Turning Back After Missing the Mark: If you have missed the mark or fallen short, do not run away from your Creator; instead, turn your face back to God.
- The Abundant Mercy of God: God is full of mercy, grace, and love, and He is completely unlike human beings who may judge without compassion.
- Reconciliation and Restoration: Reconcile with God, acknowledge your mistakes by saying "Lord, I've messed up, please forgive me," and rest assured that He will gladly forgive you.
